 Type * 3001 # 12345 # * in the phone dialer and press the green call button to access Field Mode. This gives you access to information about your local network and cell tower. 

 You probably don't need to know about "measured RSS" from your local cell tower, but it's fun to look around. General test mode: * # 0 * # 

 Works on Android. This will bring up a library of different phone features that you can operate with the push of a button (sleep, front camera, vibration, etc.). Show IMEI: * # 06 # 

 To access it, enter the code above and then enter the green call button to get the IMEI number.  IMEI is specific to your device. In particular, this number helps to blacklist stolen devices and help with customer support.

 To view Google Play service information or Firebase Cloud Messaging diagnostics, you can use code to discover the functionality of your app. 

 Type # * # 426 # *** to access this feature. 

 Check  Call Forwarding: * # 67 # 

 You can use this code to see to which number the phone is currently forwarding calls or to decline the call when you are busy. 

 By default, this is probably your carrier's voicemail service, but you can change it to forward to another number (home number, work number,  third-party answering machine, etc.). On iPhone, you can change this number by going to Settings> Phone> Auto Transfer. On Android (depending on your system), tap  Phone apps> Hamburger icon> Settings> Calls> Other settings> Call transfer 

 Get more information about call forwarding: * # 61 #For Galaxy phones, this code triggers a pop-up and describes how long it takes for the call to be routed to the message center. On the iPhone, this code displays the same information as * # 67 #, regardless of the carrier. Check the available minutes: * 646 # 

 Apparently, this only works with postpaid plans. It works on Galaxy phones. Instead of displaying the information on a new screen, a text message will be sent to the phone. Check your invoice balance: * 225 # 

 An SMS message for your current balance will be displayed on Android. Hide Calls from Caller ID: # 31 # 

 Works on Android. However, when I entered this code, I got a pop-up indicating that the caller ID was disabled. Enter * 31 # to restore the caller ID. Check the billing cycle: * 3282 # 

 Works on Android. You will be prompted to enter an SMS message containing your billing information. SMS Message Center: * 5005 * 7672 # 

 This code indicates the SMS message center number. Enable Call Waiting: * 43 # 

 This code enables call waiting. You can disable it by typing # 43 #. Quick test menu (Samsung Galaxy only) * # 7353 # 

 This code only works on Samsung Galaxy models. This is similar to the general test mode described above in that it displays a menu that contains a series of one-tap test prompts.
