Egypt.. 6 people were injured after a missile fell on Taba near the Israeli border.

 

(CNN) - Six people were injured in the tourist city of Taba on the Red Sea in Egypt, after a missile fell on the city, which shares borders with Israel, early Friday, according to official sources reported by the Cairo News Channel.


According to the channel, the missile hit the ambulance building in the city of Taba and a residential area belonging to the Taba Hospital administration. It added that security forces arrived at the scene of the accident and began an investigation.




The city of Taba is located about 220 kilometers (136 miles) from Gaza.
There has been no news yet about who launched the missile or where it was launched from.


The Israeli army said, in a statement: “We are aware of the security incident that occurred in the city of Taba in Egypt, at approximately two o’clock this morning, and since the event occurred on Egyptian territory, we do not have additional details. We can confirm that there were no casualties among "Israelis."
